SEST 2024 Conference
From 9 to 11 September 2024, our project partners participated in the SEST 2024 Conference (International Conference on Smart Energy Systems and Technologies), which took place in Torino, Italy. The conference brought together over 250 attendees from academia, industry, and research, all focused on the development and integration of innovative solutions in the smart energy sector.
Presentation on Anomaly Detection for Preventive Maintenance in Battery Storage Systems
On 11 September 2024, our project partners, Alexandre Lucas (INESC TEC) presented the latest work on Anomaly Detection for Preventive Maintenance, specifically applied to battery storage systems. The model addresses the critical need for early detection of irregularities in energy storage infrastructure, ensuring enhanced reliability and operational efficiency. The aim is to reduce system downtime and extend the lifespan of energy storage solutions, contributing to the optimisation of renewable energy integration, by leveraging predictive algorithms.
During the session, the project partners had a very engaging experience with industry leaders and peers, fostering meaningful discussions on the future of energy storage and the role of innovative technologies in advancing sustainable energy systems.
The SEST 2024 conference is a hub for knowledge exchange and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of energy technology. The conference served as a platform for exploring new ideas, establishing connections, and discussing the most pressing challenges and opportunities in smart energy systems.
