The InterSTORE project is proud to announce its participation in the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2025, taking place from 10–12 June in Brussels, Belgium.

As part of the EUSEW Energy Fair, held at the Charlemagne Building of the European Commission — InterSTORE will showcase its innovative work in energy storage and digitalisation. The Energy Fair is a three-day exhibition spotlighting some of the most impactful EU-funded initiatives. InterSTORE will be featured as one of nine selected projects at the stand “Sustainable energy hubs: Digitalisation, future fuels, electrification and decarbonisation”, alongside other EU-funded initives including MAGPIE, PIONEERS, Renewable Energy Hamburg, Blue Supply Chains, H2Deri@BSP, GREEN SUPPLY CHAINS, H2ignite, and REDII Ports. These initiatives collectively address key aspects of the clean energy transition — digitalisation, electrification, decarbonisation, and the adoption of future fuels.

InterSTORE at the Energy Fair

INTERSTORE’s exhibition presence will offer a hands-on demonstration of its contributions to storage flexibility and interoperable digital energy systems. Key features at the stand will include:

  • A live demonstration model showcasing data dashboards used in real-world testing environments;

  • Technical insights into the configuration of the Legacy Protocol Converter (LPC) — a key tool enabling integration of Distributed Energy Storage (DES) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER);

  • Use cases highlighting the practical applications of energy system interoperability across diverse energy networks.

InterSTORE team

The project will be represented by a team from InterSTORE’s partner organisations:

  • Alexandre Lucas (INESC TEC), Technical Coordinator, leading technological development;

  • Daniele Carta (Forschungszentrum Jülich), providing expertise in testing and validation;

  • Marcantonio La Franca (Engineering), presenting the Data Space Connector and services developed within INTERSTORE;

  • Elizaveta Kuzmina (EASE), overseeing communication and dissemination, and engaging with stakeholders and the public.

Advancing InterSTORE’s Mission at EUSEW

Hosted annually by the European Commission, EUSEW is Europe’s leading event dedicated to renewables and energy efficiency. The 2025 edition offers an important platform for increasing the visibility of forward-looking projects that are accelerating the green transition.

InterSTORE’s participation is fully aligned with its mission to develop, deploy, and demonstrate open-source tools that enable the hybridisation and optimisation of energy storage systems. EUSEW 2025 represents a unique opportunity to engage with policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers committed to achieving the EU’s climate and energy goals.
